Day breaks
Barely awake
Not enough sleep
Must rise and go
Busy people
Several requests
Many demands
Everyone needs something
Some are different
Coming to give
Rather than to take
Very welcome
Lightening the load
Brightening the outlook
Sharing the burden
Very welcome
Roller coaster ride
Ups go high
Lows go deep
Emotional wreck
Must get back
Peace is calling
Looking for me
Persistently
At days end
All are fed
All is done
Exhaustion realized
Lie down
Asleep instantly
Breathing deeply
Resting
Another day breaks
Challenges come
What would have overtaken
No longer overwhelming
Settled into the quiet place
No struggling
Only resting
Transformation well underway
Having tasted
Peace realized
Beyond comprehension
Nothing else will satisfy

Great poem. I can relate to so well, but I could have never put it into such words.
You are truly talented. You really ought to consider publishing these beautiful poems. They are so raw and real. Lovely.

wow....
beautiful....
and the pic is very pretty too
I like this! It is so approachable and so real. Some poetry I have read seems to rather confuse than convey.
Great peace ... more!
Glad you have found "The Calm"!
Hoping for much more peace in your future! :)
It sounds like you have a nice support system in place....that helps so much. I don't think you have a hard time remembering what is really important either.....hang in there and remember to take care of yourself too.
I'd like to find that quite place and settle in.
Just wanted to personaly thank you for the comment that you left on my blog. Kind words go a long way!;)
Beautiful poem - so true of all of our lives.
Hope you have had a good weekend - take care - Kellan
I'm so glad you are able to find that peaceful transformation and stay out of the deep lows....not always easy. Take care.
Great poem - you always have such a way with words to convey what you feel and share so beautifully with us.
Thank you for the birthday wishes - I had a wonderful day, and perhaps a bit of a rockstar night! :)

That was truly beautiful, haunting, breath taking and raw.
This poem speaks volumes. I believe we are all searching for that inner peace - although life interferes on a regular basis.
Thanks for stopping by my site. I hope you will be back to visit again soon:)

Very nicely said. I definitely relate with the exhaustion, people always wanting something, etc. :) Glad you found calm...let me know how too! haha.
I love that picture. It seems to fit that poem beautifully. You are so very talented.
Beautiful poem and one that resonates with me.
You write such great poems! I love it. Hey I gave you an award. Go check it out!
so many poems on the blog circuit over the past couple of days... it makes me so happy! i just think it is a dying art, which is too bad. such an easy way to express the soul, if you just take the time to stop and listen and feel. luckily, my youngest son has inherited my love of poetry and has written some great ones (mostly about his favorite foods).
Great poem. I am sure writing must bring you such peace.
Your poetry is fabulous. Seriously. Great.
And that pic is amazing. It is so awesome it almost doesn't look real. Wow!
Amazing! That feels like my day sometimes. I love the photo!
Curious...do you write these awesome poems yourself? Do you publish them?
