Peace is calling

Persistently
At days end
All are fed
All is done
Exhaustion realized
Lie down
Asleep instantly
Breathing deeply
Resting
Another day breaks
Challenges come
What would have overtaken
No longer overwhelming
Settled into the quiet place
No struggling
Only resting
Transformation well underway
Having tasted
Peace realized
Beyond comprehension
Nothing else will satisfy

Great poem. I can relate to so well, but I could have never put it into such words.

It sounds like you have a nice support system in place....that helps so much. I don't think you have a hard time remembering what is really important either.....hang in there and remember to take care of yourself too.

This poem speaks volumes. I believe we are all searching for that inner peace - although life interferes on a regular basis.

so many poems on the blog circuit over the past couple of days... it makes me so happy! i just think it is a dying art, which is too bad. such an easy way to express the soul, if you just take the time to stop and listen and feel. luckily, my youngest son has inherited my love of poetry and has written some great ones (mostly about his favorite foods).
