"If You Want Me To" by Ginny Owens

Yes, I will walk through the valley if you want me to

This song has meant much more to me ever since we were able to fully surrender...
Before that, I hated it... Now, I find comfort in it... resting...

If You Want me To

by Ginny Owens

The pathway is broken
And The signs are unclear
And I don't know the reason why You brought me here
But just because You love me the way that You do
I'm gonna walk through the valley
If You want me to

Chorus:
Cause I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
And I'm clinging to the promise You're not through with me yet
so if all of these trials bring me closer to you
Then I will walk through the fire
If You want me to

It may not be the way I would have chosen
When you lead me through a world that's not my home
But You never said it would be easy
You only said I'd never go alone

ya oh oh no

So When the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear You answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering that Your love put You through
And I walk through the darkness If You want me to

cause When I cross over Jordan, I'm gonna sing, gonna shout
Gonna look into your eyes and see you never let me down
So take me on the pathway that leads me home to you
And I will walk through the valley if you want me to

Well, I haven't been around much as I went to CA and came back to a totally new life schedule. I'm still adapting...

I "coincidentally" had a moment today and jumped on your blog. Once again God has used you to reach me. For the major moments, hours and days of my life right now, I am not in a valley. If anything, it's a bit like a mountain top in many ways. For my personal life, away from the limelight of day to day living, I am walking through a valley. I know that here and now God is walking with me, at times carrying me, and at other moments simply cradling my head in His lap as He strokes my hair and lets me know that everything is going to be ok once we walk through this valley.

Thanks for being His voice today.

What a beautiful song. I never really pay attention to the artist or the name of a song, but I'm sure I've heard it before.

I struggle SO much with this. Being a complete CONTROL freak...surrendering does not come easily for me!

I like this song. Maybe I can use it to help me get over my compulsive to control EVERYTHING!

I hope you are having a good week!

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!
